Back in February I mentioned a survey I was going to be doing where the clients wanted less work i.e. more lawn, less flowerbeds.
As there was no hard landscaping to be done, just a couple of months on from finalising the design, the garden has been finished. The odd shaped lawn has been remodelled and a lot of the clients’ much loved plants, which they’d had for years, re-sited in new homes; a good example of how a design needs to be respectful of a garden’s exisiting elements and a designer respectful of the client’s wishes!
The clients are delighted with the space we’ve created. The garden feels much larger with it’s new curvaceous lawn and features have been made of an existing tree, bench and their existing garden ornaments.
I’ve posted just a few ‘before’ and ‘after’ photos below and the garden will shortly be added to my portfolio page on this website so you can have a look at the transformation in more detail….
The bird cherry has been underplanted with geranium and is now a real focal point in the new lawn.
